Delicious Strawberry and Almond Crumble

This is one dessert that you can throw together in a few minutes! It is equally delicious with any other fruits, like a berry mix or apples.  Somehow anything with a crunchy crumble on top sounds good!

Normally, crumble recipes use flour or GF Flours, however I decided to use Almond Meal and then to continue with the Almond taste, I add some kibbled almonds as well in the Oat Mixture !  I made this recipe for two but you can easily double the amounts.


  • 1  cup fresh roughly chopped strawberries
  • Freshly squeezed Lemon Juice
  • 2 tbsp Almond Meal/Flour
  • 1/2 cup Gluten Free Oats
  • 2 tbsp kibbled Almonds
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1/2 to 1 tsp Cinnamon
  • Pinch of Salt
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup
  • 1 tbsp peanut oil
  • 1 tsp Vanilla or Almond Essence


Preheat oven to 150C.  Lightly oil two small ramekins.  Put the chopped strawberries in a small bowl, squeezing in some lemon juice and adding a tablespoon of the almond flour.  Mix well.  In another bowl, mix the oats, the other tablespoon of almond flour, the kibbled almonds, the sugar, the salt and cinnamon. Put aside.  Now combine the oil, maple syrup and vanilla or almond essence in a cup and add this to the oats and mix well. Spoon 1/3 of this crumble mix into the strawberries and combine.  Divide the strawberries between the two ramekins followed by the oat mixture spread evenly on top of the strawberries. Bake for about 25 minutes until the strawberry mix starts bubbling and the topping is golden brown and crisp.

    • Cooking Instructions. For topping, combine oats and almonds in medium skillet. Cook over medium-low heat 4 to 6 minutes, stirring occasionally, until both are lightly browned.
